Oregon Washington ACS Summer Conference
June 11-13, 2020, Sunriver Resort, Sunriver, OR
Information for Presenters:
Registration: Presenters are required to register. Click HERE to register on line.
Presentation Format: Abstract presentations are 12 minutes apart. Presentations should run 8 minutes allowing 2 minutes for Q and A. That provides a buffer of 2 minutes for set up, little issues, running long, etc. Videos should generally follow the same format. You will be able to make sure its ready to go before you go up there. Our AV technician will have 3 laptops and you can get it cued up so it is ready to go. Questions, contact Harvey Gail, Oregon Chapter ACS 503-371-7457.
Conference Theme: The conference speakers and debates will focus on rural surgery toppics. The theme is "The Right Care in the Right Place."
Abstracts Submission Dates:
Call for abstracts: Jan 1, 2020
Deadline to submit 3/1/20: Selections determined (Note: ACS CME guidlines require the meeting's CME app to be turned in 90 days out).
General Guidelines: Due to the combined nature of the meeting, there will undoubtedly be greater competition for abstract slots. In order to accommodate as many presentations as possible, the bipartisan Abstract Review Committee will review all submitted abstracts. Approximately 24 will be selected.
The format is described on our online abstract submission form. Abstracts are limited to 250 words.
Self Assessment: Presenters should provide two multiple choice questions related to their abstract for self assessment. Give four possible answers and indicate which is
the correct answer. Presenters should refer to the questions at the meeting. Note: Please do not use "ALL OF THE ABOVE" or "NONE OF THE ABOVE." You may submit 1 case-based question.
Disclosures: All presenters must complete an ACS disculsure form, available on the abstract online form.
