GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTING
These are podium presentations. The format is either a full presentation or a "quick shot" presentation.
Full presentations: 15 minutes between each presenter. Pacing is approximately 10 minutes for presentation, 4 minutes for Q&A and 1 minute to transition of the stage.
Quick Shots: 5 minutes, with 2 minutes of Q&A and 1 minute for transition. See the agenda for the session times.
Discussion will be from the audience. We will have two people moderating the sessions. Bring your presentation on a thumb drive and give that to our AV techs in the back of the room. They can load that up in advance. Be sure to be there in plenty of time. Check out the agenda so you know what's going on at the meeting.
REGISTRATION
Also, all presenters are required to register. Don't forget to arrange your accommodations at Skamania Lodge. Join the fun on Friday in the afternoon for our Resident Jeopardy competition. Team up and beat that buzzer!
All abstract presenters are required to register for the meeting. Click HERE to register. The cost is $200. This helps us cover the cost of facility rent, audio visual expenses and food. We also encourage you to stay for the meeting. Rooms can be booked at Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, WA. Information is on the registration page.
RESIDENT JEOPARDY!
Residents and medical students are encouraged to participate in the Jeopardy! competition on Saturday, September 14 at 3:00 pm. Teams will be assembled from the medical schools (OHSU, UW, WSU, Virginia Mason, Madigan, etc. Each team usually has at least two people, sometimes more. The winning team will receive a cash prize of $200, with prizes for 2nd and 3rd.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION
Abstracts should be maximum of 250 words.
Try to keep the abstract title relatively brief. Do not use all caps.
List authors: Last, First, Credentials.
Edit abstract carefully and check for errors. They will be published as they are received.
All submitted abstracts should adhere to the following format:
1. Introduction
2. Methods
3. Results
4. Discussions/Conclusion
Abstracts accepted as online submission only. At least one author must be an active member of the Washington or Oregon Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. The corresponding author should be the person responsible for receiving all communication and coordinating with the presenter. Abstracts submitted to national meetings in the past year will be considered but should not have been published by the time of submission.
